The Alfred Dunhill Championship, which was first played in 2000 at Houghton Golf Club in Johannesburg, starts on the 1st December and signifies a double-header start to the 2017 Race to Dubai as the Australian PGA Championship is also being played in the same week. The event moved to Leopard Creek in December 2004.

George Coetzee – After an amazing performance at the start of the Turkish Airlines Open which saw Coetzee as the leader for 2 rounds until a quadruple-bogey eight on Carya Golf Club’s long and treacherous 10th hole saw his demise, Coetzee feels that he is playing his best golf yet and although disappointed by the outcome of the Turkish Airlines Open earlier this month, he is certainly not disappointed in his form.
