EFC 62 – Du Plessis takes the Gold!

In an historical fight on Saturday 19th August 2017, Dricus du Plessis became the first man in EFC’s history to hold a title in two divisions simultaneously, by winning the gold against long time rival, Yannick Bahati.

EFC 62 sponsored by Keith Ho Betxchange took place at Carnival City, Johannesburg.

The main event was between welterweight champion, Dricus du Plessis and middleweight and BAMMA champion, Yannick Bahati. The two fleshed it out but after just 1:30 minutes, du Plessis finished his opponent by brutal guillotine in the first round. There was no comment from the ever-cool du Plessis, although none was needed while he donned his 2 gold belts.
