EFC 62 brought to you by Keith Ho BetXchange, arrives on the 19 August 2017 at Carnival City, Johannesburg. For the first time in history three title fights will be taking place on the same night, so be prepared for guts, blood and glory!

What’s even more exciting is the first ever champion versus champion bout between Dricus du Plessis and Yannick Bahati. The two remaining title fights are Zulu vs Chipfumbu and lastly Kabesa vs Botha.

EFC 62 Contenders

EFC Welterweight champion Dricus du Plessis is set on demolishing Yannick Bahati and says he’s ready to become a double weight division title holder. “At this stage in the welterweight there are a lot of prospects, but I don’t just want to take light fights just to get my career up,” said Du Plessis. “I’m a number one contender in the middleweight division. I beat Darren Daniels and Rafal Haratyk for the number one contender spot.” He went on to predict the outcomes of the day: “I’d love to step in and fight him to become a double weight division champion. He only has two rounds in him because he’s a strong guy and carries a lot of unnecessary muscle, so he will get tired fast,” he said.

Fights taking place on the prelim card just ahead of the five-fight main card are themselves showstoppers and should warm things up nicely for the title fights. These fights are:

Thabani Mndebela vs Wade Henderson – Catchweight

Steven Goncalves vs Claude Ntumba
