The British Open, known as The Open, tee’s off on the 20th July 2017 where all eyes will be on Royal Birkdale Golfclub in Southport, England as the world’s best golfers vie for the Claret Jug.

The defending champ shot a final round 63 at last year’s Open and will be one of the betting favourites going into the tournament. His form has been good this year with four top 10s on the European tour.

Spieth “slump” seems to be in the past with a victory at the Travellers Championship recently. The Royal Birkdale course requires precision and accuracy which will suit Spieths game. His best finish in the Open was tied 4th in 2015.

Scott has seen 5 top ten and was runner up in 2012 at The Open and is therefore a consistent contender. Sadly four straight bogeys on the back nine in back-to-back years cost him the title in 2012 and 2013. He will be ready and itching to win the title this year.
